A man has revealed in screenshots, that he was scammed by someone who was allegedly posing as Sindi Dlathu.
In the screenshots, the person who was posing as Sindi Dlathu, said she came across the person on Facebook, in a group called the Single and mingle group on Facebook.This person even sent pictures of Sindi Dlathu as proof, and this man fell for it.
They exchanged greetings and asked each other about where they reside. The person who is posing as Sindi Dlathu responded by saying that they stay in Sandton and that they can come for a visit after working at the studio.
The person posing as Sinding Dlathu continued to ask for petrol money and came up with an excuse that her card got lost.
With so much excitement, the man decided he wanted to call her with a video call but she refused by saying that she was still at the studio shooting for Muvhango and later changed her statement to that she was actually at “the river” studio, after realising that she made a mistake.
The man continued to send the money. He sent her an amount of R750 via the Shoprite money market.
The man was still excited, even with all the proof right in front of him that he was being scammed out of his money. He continued to admit that he could not wait to show her off to his friends and family in the neighbourhood that he says in.
After sending the withdrawal pin, he was blocked on WhatsApp and could not believe that he was scammed out of his money.
