
Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for a 22-year-old man who allegedly killed his 26-year-old girlfriend and stabbed her sister, seriously injuring her.
The man fled after the incidents but residents, who heard what had happened, went to his home and razed it.
The man stabbed his 26-year-old girlfriend to death at Monsterlus Selahlilwe village in Hlogotlou, outside Groblersdal, according to Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo of the Limpopo police.
The suspect is said to have been at his girlfriend’s house in the vicinity when the two argued around 10 p.m. on Friday.
“He then pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed her. The attacker also attacked the deceased’s sister, gravely injuring her in the process. She was admitted to the hospital.
The community quickly learned of the incident, mobilized, and went to the suspect’s house on Monday to set it on fire.
At the moment, there was no one in the house.
