According to the Sunday World, Pearl is taking legal action with the support of her lawyer in order to obtain justice. This came after she complained to Metro FM’s former station manager about her old manager, who ignored her cries.
Pearl’s five-year career at the radio station came to an end last week when her contract was not renewed as a result of the event, according to the outlet.
She described how she was often harassed by her former manager, who made sexual remarks that made her feel uncomfortable. When asked about the incident, she told Sunday World that it happened “more than once.”
“His most recent sexual insult was in an e-mail to which other staff members were copied. I stated that it made me uncomfortable and that I was tired of being treated to sexual harassment. Only one of the guys copied in on the e-mail stood up for me during my radio show.
“He then sent an e-mail apology and came down to the studio to make an in-person apology. I was extremely distressed and crying! All of this was visible to the celebrity guest who was present for his studio interview. I felt betrayed, and I couldn’t go to work the next day.
