People in South Africa have lost so much that it breaks our hearts. Some celebrities have even decided to talk more about what is happening and focus on helping where they can.
Minnie Dlamini Jones did not waste any time expressing the heartbreak that she is feeling at the moment.
In her post that she shared on social media, she mentioned how it is easy for one to look away from the situation if it is not affecting you directly.
She also mentioned how her heart breaks for the business owners in our country, including the people that were injured and lives lost due to the looting.
She also weighed in on the families that have no food at home at the moment, since stores have been closed and destroyed.
And the people who will need medication and the children that need baby formulas, in order to eat.
Lastly, she stated that even though as a country we need prayers and compassion, we also need to stand up together as one, in order to help each other.
“It’s so easy to turn a blind eye to something that isn’t affecting you directly. But we all need to show support to KZN. My heart breaks at the local business owners who can’t recover from this, the jobs lost, the people injured, the people killed…”
“The family’s who have run out of food, the stores have been destroyed & the ones that haven’t are running low on everything. The mothers with small children who can’t get formula and nappies. The people who are ill and can’t get medication (Still covid)…”
“The entire province waking up with fear every morning and going to bed to the sounds of bombs and gun shots. Yes we need compassion & prayers but we also need to start standing together & helping each other”
