Bahumi Mhlongo has come a long way with having confidence. No doubt in that.
Bahumi has been suffering from a sickness that was diagnosed a while back. She was diagnosed with a disease called Lymphedema.
The disease is said to be incurable.
Bahumi went on social media to open up about her emotional progress since being diagnosed with the disease.
She has been exercising for a few days. She decided to share pictures of herself to see if there is any physical progress yet and it was her first time seeing herself in the mirror since starting her workout.
She took the time to show herself some self-love and revealing her arms and legs. “Acknowledging this beauty God created, she said”
She also shared pictures of herself, back when she did not have lymphedema disease, also sharing that she had to overcome a lot of words from different people to get to where she is now.
“Here’s a progress picture I never thought I’d ever post 😄 this was a few days into my workout, so no physical progress yet, but this was the first time I looked in the mirror not with a physical progress, but a mental one – I loved what I saw fully for the first time, ever.
Anyways that’s why it’s not edited, and the messy background isn’t cleared, it really was just a self-love moment, revealing my arms and legs, acknowledging this beauty God created; you can see the difference in poses from years ago to this image right here, & the kind of words I had to overcome to get to this point.
Be sure to acknowledge your emotional and mental progress as well, trust me it’ll speed up the physical one 😂🙌🏽”
