The queen is one of the most-watched television shows in South Africa. No doubt that they pick good actors for the television drama.
Recently, Shona Ferguson who acted as Jerry Maake on the queen lost his life, due to Covid-19 complications.
The queen actors, celebrities, and fans found it hard to believe and expressed how they will always remember him for creating an empire before he departed from this earth.
Zenande Mfenyana, who acts as Goodness on the drama television decided to open up about how she managed to score a gig on the television show.
Zenande opened up about the time that she met the Ferguson’s for the first time.
She shared that she first came in contact with Connie and Shona Ferguson back in 2013 at a function. In 2016, the Ferguson’s were holding an audition, while she was filling a form, Mr Shona Ferguson said to her “we know who you are, no need to fill that in”.
She did not have to audition for the role since they knew how talented she is.

The first time I met the power couple that is Mam’Connie & Mr Sho was in 2013 at an end of year function, I sat on the same table as them, and I thought to myself, they don’t know me yet, but one day I will work with them
“2016 and the Ferguson’s are holding auditions for Igazi, I’m obviously there, and as I’m filling in my audition form, Mr Sho appears and says “We know who you are, no need to fill that in” this was me
as he led me into the audition room, a whole Mr Sho & Ma’Connie know me”
“2017 and I get a call from Mr Sho “My wife and I have been holding auditions for a character called Goodness and nobody who’s come so far is cracking it, we think you would be perfect for this role, do you want it?” Elated is an understatement, I couldn’t believe my ears”
“I had many off camera chats with Mr Sho, he would tell me where they were thinking of taking my character, and he always said “I know you can pull this off Zenande” Infact the last chat I had with him, he was telling me about my character’s upcoming exciting story arch”
