Imagine waking up to a large tax bill? Khomotso matsunyane a television personality got served a week ago.
Her Filming company call the One man and his Dog film received a large tax bill. Her company might lose its assets after SARS came for them.
Her company is said to be owing an amount of R1.5 million in value added tax. The amount increased to over R2.2 million after the company also received a penalty of R221 000 , including interests of over R69 000. It is also said that the company also owes Pay as Earn for over R280 000.
Kgomotso’s company still owes SARS R143 000 for income tax, including interests and it also owes unemployment insurance fund payments and skills development levies.
SARS was forced to get a judgment from the court after the company ignored their requests, detailing that the company should make some arrangements and apply for a suspension of debt.
Kgomotso refused to talk more about this matter.
