Stealing is a serious risk.
On Sunday the 3rd of October a young man was killed by basani community. A probably 25 to 30 years old man named vhutshilo maneta was found allegedly stealing at a young tsonga girl’s house called vukona mabasa.
Vhutshilo Maneta is a young man who does not have parents(both mother and father) . His late mother was called muditambi maneta and his late father was called Jacob maneta.
Earlier that day vhutshilo was sitting with his friends drinking brew beer at Ha vho bella but at night he and one of friends called Fidel and they decided to go and steal at that young girl’s house, but unfortunately when vhutshilo entered the house through a window, the young girl shouted for help and his friend Fidel decided to run away , leaving vhutshilo to face the consequences alone.
Vhutshilo tried to run away but one of the man in the community called Vukosi Chauke caught him and handed him to the community. The basani community didn’t waste any time , they immediately took off his clothes and took everything that they had to beat him up.
They beat him in a way that he wasn’t able to open his eyes. After they were tired of beating him they called the police and ambulance. The police tried to ask the community who beat the young guy but no one in the community responded…leaving the case invalid.
The ambulance came to take him to hospital but unfortunately he died before reaching the hospital (Malamulele hospital). It is also believed that vhutshilo was the one who assaulted those three girls.
