RIP……Khumbelo Mbedzi
On Sunday 28 September the mbedzi family found their son dumped next to the gate of their home, dead.
A 27 year old Khumbelo mbedzi who was living at Tshikonelo mauluma village was allegedly poisoned at a braii party.
On saturday 27 September the maposa family were having a party where Khumbelo was invited. The party was held at his nephew’s house ,mukhethwa maposa.
Khumbelo attended the party with his friend Thama Netshitavhadulu. Khumbelo was totally having fun at the party and enjoying drinking brew beer and modern beer not knowing that it was his last day.
After some hours of drinking and dancing khumbelo and his friend thama went to eat wors meat, with others but khumbelo didn’t eat the wors that was served to eat with others instead he ate the one that he was given to eat alone by Itani maposa(his uncle).
After they have all eaten, khumbelo’s friend thama went home to rest as he was drunk but left khumbelo at the party. Khumbelo partied ’till night. Later that night the maposa family realized that khumbelo was no longer alive because he had a bubbles coming out of of his mouth.
As a family they all agreed that they should throw him next to the gate, at his house. Khumbelo was found early in the morning by his mother confidence mbedzi, she shouted when she saw her son laying on the ground.
The community went to see what was happening only to find khumbelo laying on the ground dead.
The paramedics came to take his body. The family thought that maybe his inner parts were taken because a lot of ritual killings have been taking place lately, but the postmortem examiners confirmed that his body parts were complete, and that the truth was that he was poisoned.
The funeral was held on saturday 09 October 2021 at Church. The matter is now in the police hands and as for now the police are allegedly suspecting his friend. May his soul continue resting in peace.
