A woman who was poisoned
Katekani Mabasa a 32 year old woman with 3 children was poisoned.
It happened on the 8th of December 2021 when there was a graduation ceremony at Muofhe tshikonelo creche. After the graduation ceremony, Katekani was allegedly invited to a graduation open house by one of her friends(Vulani Chauke) where she did attended.
The party seemed to be fun, playing the loud music, drinking sorts of alcohol, smoking hubbly, etc. After so many hours of dancing and drinking, Katekani decided to go home. While she was on her way home she started throwing up and feeling dizzy but she didn’t take that as a serious problem.
When she arrived at home she asked her older daughter (Hlauleko Mabasa) to give her water, after drinking water her stomach started rumbling .
Things kept getting worse, but she decided to take a nap. Before she could reach her room she fell down. Her daughter called the ambulance and the neighbours for help but before the ambulance arrived her stomach was starting to swell up due poisoning.
When the ambulance arrived the neighbours declared that she was no longer alive. The postmortem examiners examined her body and confirmed that she was truly poisoned. Her funeral was held at church on 13th of December 2021.
It has been alleged that her coffin couldn’t even close because her stomach was still swollen.
Some of the villagers said that the cause of her death might be because she was the leader if strike which was taking place at Tshikonelo village. The worst part of her death is that the police are not investigating the matter to find the culprit.
